UX Designer III
As a User Experience Designer III, your work will enhance the Hotwire traveler experience through cohesive and exciting efforts in solving customer problems specifically for the My Account and Checkout teams. You’ll work with a close-knit team on a variety of end-to-end projects and be involved in every aspect of the design process, from framing big, gnarly problems to tweaking pixels just before launch. You’ll ensure your designs build on the customer experience in a cohesive and delightful way.
Your role will include working within our design system on end-to-end delivery projects touching on everything from discovery, to wireframing, to prototyping, to usability testing. You’ll sync with the main hub of designers based in the U.S. for design reviews, feedback, and team happenings.
What you’ll do:
Collaborate with multiple departments across the org, including product, engineering and analytics, to solve customer experience problems and identify trends and opportunities.
Influence strategy for a project or specific product area by articulating a coherent UX vision based on clear, actionable problem/opportunity statements.
Practice systems thinking. Actively contributes to design system growth based on use cases by making decisions that clarify relationships between patterns and support future flexibility.
Quickly iterate and refine design options from multivariant testing results using qualitative and quantitative insights to design and evolve product features.
Build wireframes and prototypes for design exploration and user testing.
Demonstrates mastery of common visual and interaction design principles and practice, and creates appropriate sketches, wireframes, flows, design comps, and prototypes with minimal guidance.
Produce and deliver pixel-perfect final UI designs.
You have good communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate design rationale.
You have a keen eye for UI, detailed pixel perfection matters to you!
You’ve worked with design systems as an active contributor.
Highly experienced in solving end-to-end customer problems.
Experienced in insight-driven design (such as site analytics, MVTs and qualitative research).
You’re keen to continue building your craft as a designer, learning from and contributing to our multi-skilled team.
Experience as a Product Designer or in a similar role we are more interested in your design skills and methodology than years of experience!
You have extensive knowledge with design tools e.g. Figma
You have experience delivering UX within an Agile, quick-paced environment
A portfolio of samples of your work showcasing end-to-end design and thought-process will be required.
