The main purpose of the role is to bring leading edge digital methods, such as materials modelling, simulations and cheminformatics, to the materials innovation process and establish thought leadership in “in silico first” approach to materials and process design. This involves novel ingredients assembled into novel formulations for existing and/or novel formats spanning most aspects of cleaning and hygiene in the home. This will not just be you doing this, but leading and helping your teammates assimilate and adopt these methods into their own ways of working.
To work with multidisciplinary Science and Technology Leaders and research scientists to design and select new materials technologies and drive “in silico first” approaches onto the critical path of product innovation processes
To develop and apply artificial intelligence, materials informatics, materials simulation and statistical methods for library definition, experimental design, structure/composition-function modelling, optimization and datamining.
To identify the relevant materials informatics leaders in the external world, developing appropriate external newtorks and collaborators to advance internal skill sets and deliver complex projects
To train and support the team’s personal utilization of appropriate materials informatics and data driven tools and techniques
