Job Description for RBS Careers Hiring for HR / Talent Acquisition Consultant in March 2020:

The role involves the HR Consultant to be accountable for the successful delivery of programmes/projects in support of the business strategy set out in the People Plan. The primary job of the HR consultant involves working closely with HR Business Partners & business leaders. The HR Consultant leads or participates in projects to support business leaders and manage the people impacts of change. An HR consultant is regarded as an expert in the field of HR and should be able to pick up and execute variety of projects in HR. The projects would typically involve supporting the business in implementing strategic change.

Your Responsibilities

HR consultant will be responsible for:

Managing a variety of concurrent projects
Diagnose, scope, design and deliver programs/projects that meet customer needs & ensure interdependencies with other programs/workstreams are managed including global/regional impact as appropriate
Provide external and internal insights to shape the strategy and project design
Establish and maintain a clear definition of project scope and deliverables
Take up collaborative engagement of stakeholders, peers and project team resources to successfully deliver project outcomes that deliver a seamless service to clients and customers
Be accountable for the project budget
Partner the business leaders and finance to provide technical and commercial input to any investment case and funding requirements
Follow effective program/project governance, including post-project reviews. Monitor and report on the progress of plan, including managing interdependencies and risks and issues
Proactively identify the people and wider business implications arising from the business/functional strategy
Connect the dots, manage complexity and translate this into simple outcomes for clients and customers
Drive delivery of discrete projects, demonstrate commerciality, high standards, flexibility, pro-activity, accountability
Drive new initiatives for increased employee engagement and be the culture custodian

Skills you need

Experience of managing projects from inception to embedding
Generalist HR experience within a large complex organization
Experience in working with business leaders and with partners in specialist HR functions
Experience in managing and influencing stakeholders
Track record of collaborative working relationships across reporting lines
Relationship management capabilities
Digital marketing
Content creation and social media engagement
Business management and project management
