Trainee Engineer


Education and/or Experience/Skills:

Fresh graduate with Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering from reputed engineering institutes.

Should be well verse with engineering calculations and handling different tools

Exposure to CAD/CAE tools

Role of Trainee

Initial Training: Participate actively in acquiring knowledge for the role at Weir EnSci

A graduate engineer trainee starts the journey at Weir EnSci through a structured training plan designed specifically to

Sharpen engineering fundamentals
Acquiring domain knowledge – Minerals, Oil & Gas domains
Understand Weir Products and its applications
The program also includes skill enhancement through tool training, campus to corporate orientation, Weir EnSci process including Innovation, New product introduction (NPI), VAVE, Order and Application Engineering, domain and product specific training from internal subject matter experts.
Trainees to demonstrate their learnings by executing a customized NPD / VAVE project which provides opportunity to design, develop and test the product.

Technical responsibilities

Conduct component/Assembly/Product geometry optimization through CAD/E tools and engineering processes. Responsible for design validation through test prototypes.
Follow prescribed procedures and conduct analysis to develop design options or

recommendations for products, structures and systems.
Prepare documentation, such as testing protocols and manuals to meet project deliverables.
Work on engineering requirements with solution mindset to add value back to Weir
Contribute to technology exploration benefiting Weir by participating in industry conferences/forums/seminars.
Create white papers, technical papers promoting technological values to Weir through study and research.
Contribute to innovation challenges posted by Weir
