Configuration Owner, MES

 

Purpose of role: You are accountable for solution technical designs and implementation prior to build or deployment to production. You will work closely with other internal experts in the design phase to drive solution architecture to a “configuration-friendly” direction and maximal utilization of out-of-the-box functionality to avoid KONE-specific customization as much as possible. You will support and give guidance to external parties in developing and implementing application configurations.

Main contact / counterpart for Solution Design Owners in the manufacturing area

Define and control how to map process definition and requirements into solution configuration and rules (modeling rules)

Lead Solution Design Owners to avoid as much as possible KONE specific developments

Define and control data model and data integrity

Define / approve / align scope of functionality between different applications

Controls that all changes are recorded, and that change management process is followed

Governance of global KONE configuration template

Discover / explore new standard functionalities and map with KONE needs

Support KONE internal IT-Solution Design Teams with releasing of new tools and functionalities to the business

Supports and gives guidance to external parties in implementing technical configurations.

Provides 3rd tier support

Professional requirements:

The following are a selection of professional requirements/area of focus (as defined by KONE IT) relevant to this role:

University degree in Engineering or similar

Minimum professional experience 10 years with minimum 7 years in manufacturing IT solutions, especially from Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)

5 years of expertise and hands on experience in Delmia Apriso products

Knowledge of shop floor machine integration and application integration with SAP

Demonstrated track record of clear achievements from previous positions held

Experience with ITIL processes

Experience in leadership and matrix organizations

Experience with supplier collaboration / collaboration with AMS partners

Experience in working in international environment with stakeholders distributed globally

Excellent stakeholders’ communication skills (both written and oral)

Excellent Change Management skills

Analysis and Problem solving

Fluency in English

Able to embrace and promote cultural diversity and inclusion respectfully across own team and organization

Location: Chennai
