Job Description General Electric Careers Job Vacancy for Mechanical Component Engineer in November 2020:
• Execute the projects related to design of Moulds & Equipment’s
• Provide technical solutions moderate to complex problems with minimum support
• Communication with stakeholders and project teams in alignment of project priorities /Deliverables
• Ability to innovate & improving (CI) functionality, safety, quality & cost in design of moulds & equipment
-Experience in Unigraphics NX programming is desirable.
Roles and Responsibilities
Facilitate technical solutions in Design of Mould equipment used for Blade Manufacturing
Contribute to continuous dialogue with the task stakeholders (Manager, DK PMs, BU) to reassure the intended functionality and quality of the product. Use 3D (assembly structure) which enhance product interface and reliability in:
Better understanding of the design intent (product combination)
Specifying the requirements of design clearly
Handle design tasks involving design calculations, 3D & 2D drafting, including GD&T application and documentation
Manage & Maintain Engineering Documentation in TeamCenter.
Maintain structured data in Teamcenter to enable easy use for Mould/Equipment Building Co-ordinate with suppliers to get complete technical documentation for the moulds & production equipment Maintain instructions and implement Engg Change requests
Required Qualifications
Bachelors or Master’s in mechanical / Aerospace / Industrial engineering, or a similar field
4 to 6 years of experience in Design & Detailing of structural components & particularly working with Heavy engineering/heavy equipment’s/large Fabrications is must.
Expertise in Unigraphics NX software modules (3d modelling, detailing) & Teamcenter Engineering (PDM),
Experience in Unigraphics NX programming is desirable.
Engineering Change Process, Bill of Materials, Building Technical documentation,
Knowledge on Manufacturing process (Laser cutting, Welding etc)
Know how on industrial standards components
Know how on Off the shelf component (such as size, Shape, material etc)
