Here is a glimpse of what you will do:
Get into technical requirement discussions with the stakeholders
Design the solution considering the existing landscape
Document technical design and keep them up-to-date
Develop solution with the combination of Informatica, Teradata & scripting technologies
Identify detailed positive and negative unit testing cases and run them through for each change
Support function/user acceptance testing and handle the queries coming in your way
Productionize the solution by going through the change management process
Work along with other team members and exchange the knowledge from time to time
Here is some of what you will need (required):
Hands on experience of Informatica Power Center (Preferred v10.4) and good to have working experience on PowerExcange CDC for oracle project implementations
Should have good knowledge of Oracle Architecture
Extensive work experience on Teradata (Teradata SQL, SQL Assistant and BTEQ, MLOAD, FLOAD, FASTEXPORT, TPump etc)
Hands on experience in Unix/Linux and shell scripting.
Strong knowledge of data analysis, data transformation, conceptual data modelling, data transformation and metadata management.
Here are a few of our preferred experiences:
Informatica Big data management/Data Engineering platform development experience (Nice to have)
Should be proficient enough to design and develop ETL for any data warehouse projects
Should have very good technical skills to optimize/tune the SQL queries or mapping to reduce overall ETL session runtime to process huge data set
Must have good communication and problem solving skills
Expertise in Agile project manage principles is a plus
