Our Operations environment presents the candidates with great challenges in dealing with front line management, and driving scalable and continuous improvements across our Fulfillment Centers, Supply Chain & Transportation execution teams.
Are you ready to drive high-visibility, strategic, revenue-generating projects as well as leverage Lean methodologies to lead Operational process improvement initiatives? Are you equally comfortable digging into business requirements as you are drilling into architecture and design with development teams.
Balance day-to-day shift management operations with strategic forward-thinking decision-making; optimize labor and capacity resources to ensure efficient and effective workflow across Amazon warehouses; ensure effective communication occurs at shift handoffs; remove barriers and construct work continuity plans; manage backlog to ensure a balanced and appropriate workload; plan for and prepare required resources in the short and long-term by constructing peak plans and setting goals to achieve and exceed daily volume metrics, peak productivity, safety, and quality expectations; Create a culture of safety, monitor equipment and conditions, and respond to incidents. Operations roles include field and corporate roles.
Identify solutions to complex problems and innovate on leading edge solutions to manage programs broadly across businesses within Amazon. Given responsibility to own those business challenges and the autonomy to think strategically and make data driven decisions. Drive efforts independently and as part of larger project teams, and have a significant impact on the customer experience and the business.
Responsible for onboarding and partnering with the recruitment team in hiring associates based on business forecasts. Partner with business leaders and other support functions to maintain a highly motivated and engaged workforce .Implement new policies, procedures and programs in support of Business. Be the first point of contact for all employee grievances and partner with the HR Business Partner in conducting necessary investigations. Drive engagement initiatives like – New hire Buddy/ mentoring program, Voice of Employee, Round tables and Brown Bag session and R&Rs To drive Career pathing sessions/ initiatives Support the L&D team in conducting training needs assessment for employees across levels
Partner with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations.Be able to recruit passive candidates and possess the mentality to “profile people and gauge chemistry of candidates for fit and understand their motivation” rather than sell a role. Possess strong ability to screen interview candidates within the framework of the position specifications and prepare an ideal candidate slate within an appropriate and consistent timeline.Build and maintain network of potential candidates through pro-active market research; conducts in-depth interviews of potential candidates, demonstrating ability to anticipate hiring manager preferences through high offer-to-interview ratios.Provide a great candidate experience and act as a candidate advocate.
· Class of 2021 MBA program
· Successful completion and graduation with a MBA degree prior to start date at Amazon
· Demonstration of interest in working in the fast paced technology industry
· Proof that you are capable of both strategic thinking along with detailed execution
· Consistent track record of taking full ownership and delivering results
· Comfortable with “hands-on” management of tasks, and proven ability to manage multiple, contending priorities simultaneously
· Strong communication skills, managing multiple stakeholders and partner teams
