The Senior Regional Manager, Security & Loss Prevention is responsible for ensuring that their area of responsibility efficiently and effectively provides security services and asset (lives, buildings, equipment, data, & intellectual property) protection through design of physical infrastructure and within the region.
Specific areas of focus include; loss exposure/loss controls analysis, investigations of theft and loss, physical security systems and controls, contract guard services, loss prevention education and awareness programs, workplace violence and loss prevention audit programs.
This Senior Manager’s ultimate success will be measured by how they assist with the development of and driving the implementation of a standardized, cost effective and efficient security and loss prevention
programs for the FC’s, Middle Mile and Last Mile network. These will be measured by agreed upon objectives and metrics related to key areas such as the level and quality of customer service provided, access
control and theft prevention effectiveness, and the protection of our employees and visitors as well as improvements to non-security department related productivity (such as employee retention, business
continuity, product and equipment dependability, continuous flow for operations impacted by security systems, etc.)
Full time Bachelor Degree from accredited university or 2+ years Amazon experience.
10 + years of experience in one or all of the following disciplines loss prevention, asset protection, transportation/supply chain security, guard force utilization, and investigations.
4+ years’ experience in a customer service driven environment
6+ years leading loss prevention and inventory shrink reduction efforts.
Decision Making/ Problem Solving- demonstrate ability to proactively gather the right data from appropriate sources, probe/consider all of the
facts, consider other perspectives; conduct root cause analysis; draw sound inferences; prioritize key factors; act decisively, promptly and
confidently; flexible in approach; able to operate with limited guidance from management.
Experience in planning, scheduling and tracking project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
Experience developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
Experience managing project scope changes, identifying potential crises, and devising contingency plans.
Familiarity with security equipment such as intrusion detection devices, access control systems, and CCTVs
Proficient with MS Office Professional Suite, including intermediate knowledge of Excel.
Experience leading teams and providing management, leadership and mentoring to team members as needed.
Able to work in an industrial environment that requires walking up to 5 miles a day and ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Prepared to undertake Up to 50% travel (domestic) and occasional international travels.
Ability to carry out and supervise all phases of an investigation at a professional level.
Expertise in supply chain security management in international environment.
Acts as an internal advisor in response to requests assistance for the research and deployment of state-of-the-art security technology solutions and innovative security management techniques.
Internally, develops networks and strategies throughout all functions and levels to influence, convince and drive global security initiatives.
Briefs operations management on the status of security issues emerging threats.
